Somewhere Over The Rainbow

Sung by Judy Garland in “The Wizard of Oz”, 1939.
A sacred song is playing, that brings weeping to my eyes;
It is one I used to sing to, both my precious little guys!
They would sit and they would listen, as each note I sang them true;
Filled with all my purest passion, that told them, “I love you”!
.
Now, I hear it in my loneliness, as it brings back memories so dear;
Of the greatest joy I’ve ever known, the days when they were here!
I run to touch their ashes, two boxes atop their shrine;
The teardrops falling freely, such sorrow now resigned!
.
I look up to the Heavens, and wonder where they are;
They send to me a message, I see a shooting star!
“Somewhere Over The Rainbow”, is where they both now play;
I pray that God accepts me, and I join them there some day!
.
.
Over the Rainbow
My loves wait for their Daddy
To sing them again

Dear Charu,
I am "literally" crying now too, as I read your beautiful words about my precious Soulmates, Nico and Cody.
I will weep for them, until the day we are together again.
Thank you for your most heartfelt comment.

Dear s. zaynab,
I will settle for one hundred plus, but who knows what strides medicine will make in the next quarter century.
You honor me with such praise. It is every poet's dream to receive such adulation from their fellow writers.
I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Peace and Love,
Larry xxx
