Song

Song

She begins to write her dream,
With serene sleep's pen in hand.
His voice now growing stronger,
As love's embers are fanned.

She'd nothing but her violin,
He possessed only his song.
Lovers under azure blue skies,
When summer days were long.

Her violin of sweet melodies,
His song of radiant serenity.
Harmonies in tune as one,
An embodiment of sensuality.

To her his heart was given,
For him her soul was bared.
Two spirits willing love captives,
Was what both eternally shared.

Their world was different then,
Time and sickness played a part.
Cruel winter came and took him,
Leaving her with a barren heart.

That violin still ethereally plays,
Though not picked up for so long.
Her dream and face now radiant,
Upon hearing him sing his song.

Greg, thank you so much for once again being so generous and for your support.
Been good since Christmas and New Year and trying to disciplined with writing time or time in general for that matter!
Truth be told I wasn't going to put a new poem till mid February for I'm still writing the final part of Archangel Trilogy, Armageddon...
It is now a quadrilogy but all will be upped hopefully by this Easter Monday.
Or as we Catholic's say The Monday of the Angel.Β
But in two weeks I might put the latest update version for a family member who wants to know more and enjoyed it.
No clues to who that is but it's my daughter!!
This version with added verses toΒ  part one, The War In Heaven to payoff in the final part.
Just juggling a few themes and threads around to dovetail into it's final part.
So life is good Greg and hope all is well with you also.
And this so so wananbe poet can promise you one thing Greg to visit your latest poems with a clearer head to do your good self and your poetry the poetic justice they thoroughly deserve.
Respect to you Greg and be seeing you tomorrow night.

Gwen what can one say but thank you for your kind comments and thank you again for being you.
That piece of art is one of my favourites and truth be told I also used it for the In Dreams poem and She Sleeps At Peace it really inspires me and one of those rare pieces of art that seems to radiate light and offers a little oasis of much needed (for everyone) soothing calm and balm about it.
And is so very beautiful to look at and let your thoughts wash over you.
Just told Greg above you here about writing a certain Archangel poem and trying to disciplined with time, for I wasn't going to post a new poem till mid February.
But I thought of this and wanted a break from other writing, you know burnout and all that, a change is as good as a rest.
So tonight Gwen I'm all Archangeled out, but tomorrow night will visiting your poetry neighbourhood with honourable poetry intentions.
See you tomorrow my friend and this humble poet thanks you one last time and wishes you well.
Nos da Gwen. x.

Hi, Shaun, beautiful song, full of connection. Noting the date on which it was written, special to me: that day 35 years ago, my wife and I teamed up and we are still living the dream (kind of against all odds due to background). Thanks for sharing
