Song of the Sea

Song of the Sea

Plunging into the cold depths
Of the seas' unforgiving embrace
All noise and chatter
Worries and fear
Washed away by the roar in my ears.

Listening to the ocean's heartbeat
Waves set in motion
Teaching me the beat
I slow my rapid rhythm
To match the ancient ocean

Caught up in the sound
I lost my identity
Becoming one
With the song of the sea.
