Songbird

Songbird

Songbird,

I’d love to be a song bird, sitting in a tree

High above the maddening crowds

Magnificent vistas I would see

Where the air is fresh and the sun is warm

I could spread my wings and be me

I would sing to my heart’s content

Some warbling song, or sweet melody

Flutter and puffer and prune myself clean

Ohhh ! blissfully happy I would be

To be able to fly high into the sky

With no restrictions, I’d be free

lovely read! i always wish i could be a bird , too .. i always think when i see them .. they hold such freedom in their little wings , being able to live in the sky , flying around sitting in treess what a simple life.. it makes me jealous.. they are so blissfully ignorant... to anything bad and to me they seem utterly happy and at peace with their little lives.. something i crave for

Yes i agree, Birds have the wonderful purity of their song, happy little creatures that make the world a pleasant place to be.
