Songs of Endearment

Songs of Endearment

This is a house of endearment,
built of affection, laughter, and love songs,
with whispered promises kept and remembered
long after the laughter is gone.
The walls hold everything together,
the love, the trust, dreams,
and the intricate web of memories and stories.
The roof gives shelter and sanctuary
where the tranquil essence is cherished.
The floors give safety, a precious gift
open like a window letting the harshness of winter
become the hope of spring.
The door holds the key to lessons learnt,
for, the foundations are the strength
holding the pillars of truth.
The house has a garden of stories,
like a fountain in continuous flow,
mirroring walls bathed in the light of memories
created by the ones
living in a house of endearment.

We've lived in the same house for 50 years. Since I was a little boy. True wise words of love. A Lovely Story.

Some donā€™t have a family or a companion, but they still can live
in a house of endearment because they still have (like you) the
memories and the stories. And no one can take it away from you!Ā
So, the house on my poem is not an exclusive place,
but a place for every one. Thank you Jac for your insightful response. Ā BĀ
