SONNET

I die each day and urge to see thy grace

Is added, Dear, with every dying day

The life,I know, tho' failed ye to embrace

But eyes canst have thy sight 'fore age doth gray.

If thou canst be so kind to think of me

And feel of me, who did thy rose adore,

And every moment willed lone ye, to see,

Thou canst, if wish, take him to other shore.

Let him thus drown in thee and not come out

To face the crowd of world in loneliness

And eyes of every passer by to only flout

How deep a pain it gives, thou canst not guess.

Let me but melt in thee and be thy smile

I'm tired of lives and deaths on me to pile.
