Sonnet For Love Sought

I look for love in a desperate way.
A solemn solitary search for ghosts.
I cannot find the first romantic day.
even though I have sought it with like hosts.

Will you help me in my search for true love?
I cannot wait for the true lover’s way.
I only wait for a sign from above.
Someone in heaven must hear what I say.

But am I speaking only to myself?
Are my sad words on holy spirits lost?
Is there a love god who really cares?
What in the end will be the final cost?

Today begins my lonesome journey home
where my tortured empty spirit will roam.
