Sore Affected

Walk the chessboard, and swim depression; and someone
Cries: “I’ve given all: my aloof sun”; and so frigid the
Voice; and so cold the hearse: it walks. I breathe out a
Ghost, and fall apart. Something tugs: an inner gaze; and
Gravel screams: “Get up.” A pail of shame: a pier of woes;
And she plays a part—a living death: a feigned smile.
Time ticks: a neighbor’s masquerade: this fills in the
Void: to play pretend; and so brutal: a dead man’s help;
And so cultured: an inner demon; and she falls the journey—
Partly disgusted; and limbo: a state of mind; and rebirth: a
Tornado; but I climb and swim and flex affection—lost at
Intervals; but such malaise—a kiss of depression: where’s
The joy: it was only yesterday; and she haunts a grave—
Sheer dejection; and I walk the valley, sore affected. Â
