A Sorry For You

I’m sorry
I’m sorry for all the children, huddled in the corner hiding their beautiful worlds from the demons above them. Staring as they walk and Walking as they run
I’m sorry for the child who takes his stand, and stands while they walk.
I’m sorry for the boy, who loves too much in his teens
And I’m sorry for the girl, who loves too little in hers
I worry every day, if I’ve said it too much, or not enough
But if sorrys could get me back to the right side of the bed
Then you’ve said too many when they shouldn’t have been said, and too little when they should have.
I’m sorry for the permanent placement of your heart in mine, too far down my spine and a little to the left
And what’s left?
I’m sorry for the Midnight riders who can’t get home because there is no home to go back too
I’m sorry to say that the faults of ourselves lie within our judgement
So judge as you may
Because sorrys come and go
Like The boy, or the girl. Who loves too much, and loves too little.
