SOUL

SOUL

As she lays there unaware of the world
Her soul starts floating to the heavens
Not a care for the world because it had disappointed her countless times
Yet she tried holding on, Not to the planet but the beings she’s grown to love
As she lays there unaware of the world around her
Her soul continuously floats and her body left behind on this planet for it to devour & leaving behind a place she once called home
Her soul ascends between the night air and she whispers To wind as it softly takes her away; Leaving the beings she’s grown to love in despair.

Hi Ann, this is a very thought provoking poem, although it expresses the tragedy in the ultimate moment of  loneliness  it has an ethereal beauty to it. A very powerful write indeed. Thank you!

i try now but fail to call up words now beyond, "i like this, it makes me think, to feel, and to say, "well done".

Beautiful photo too could be a lot of places but as the beach faces south, reminds me of the beach south of the Rincon, La Conchita, or maybe venice, santa monica?
