Soulmates Day

Soulmates Day

Yesterday was very special, we hold it rather dear;
We have celebrated it’s meaning, for twenty-seven years!
So, every February 14th, on beloved Valentine’s Day;
We dress up for the occasion, and head out on our way!
.
We wear red to show our two hearts, share love so very true;
Our Souls repeating these words, “My Darling, I love you”!
The sun was shining brightly, bringing warmth to a chilly morn;
Igniting our amorous spirits, heat of passion us adorned!
.
Our first stop was at Whole Foods Market, the cashiers us did tell;
“You look so very amazing, you should get your picture taken as well”!
They had this backdrop all set up for, people wanting to show their love;
We held and posed for this photo, two smitten turtle doves!
.
Then we headed to Outback Steakhouse, we were craving some spareribs;
But first, we sat in our warm car, on each other’s lips had dibs!
We smooched as I downed some glasses, of an oaky Chardonnay;
We went in and had our repast, then came home together lay!
.
.
The day was perfect
Our hearts and Souls together
Sharing purest love
