“Soul’s on Fire” (Inspired by Anthony Hamilton)

A sphinxly fire, my love: a hidden dimension. Such an

Insatiable flame—a cryptic force. Pain follows such fire—

A magnet flare. Thus, to ponder “mansions”—a room

Upstairs; and such flurry, a furious ghost. My dream, a

Floret praise; and pang, a pail of prayers. I’ve witnessed

Destiny, a dark illusion; and such waves—to ponder

Fables. My teary-eyed dove, a phantom lives—a pure

Infusion. And what to give, a fleet of prose, where

Insanity, shelters soul? Thus, the phantom breathes—a

Living tear. Awake the cherubs, Elijah waits—a flaming

Chariot. And my burning core, a meld of souls—a cave

Of chants. In truth, we trek a memoir, aflame a revelation.

Her flare, so partial: her ache, so skewed; and vision, a

Tunnel love. Thus the fire, a host of shadows, my love.
