Space and time

Space and time

Confined to limited space and unlimited time
so the slow purgatory of this torment be
tortured for transgressions by their eternal night
mind and soul liaise in ever common interest,
space and time forever in my thoughts

Concrete walls of cacophony capture light
naked lies the mind to eternal want
bereft is the flesh which long denied warmth
the spirit butterfly flutters in the shade,
whilst space and time forever call my name

Sleep takes the unconscious across the ages
illuminates such matter evading verse
dark and light confront to then enlighten
behind torments garish pain lies salvation,
as space and time transfigure from my soul

Awakened to the strength of new alliance
of mind and soul to colour they do turn
my voice comes alive in great expression
illuminating corners forever seeking light,
now space and time walk with my mortal self.
