SPECIAL DELIVERY

I was pressed in my heart
To follow the stream upwards 

I had always walked along the waters edge 
Down stream 

Where the waves from the river 
Beats the shoreline causing a mist
Which always felt soothing on my face 

As I headed up stream on this early morning 
Dry leaves crackling under my feet
I embraced the quietness of the forest 

Occasionally hearing the sparrows 
Singing their morning songs 
As other birds chirps in this musical silhouette 

Then I saw a winged creatures' reflection
Dancing upon the rippling of waters face

I was startled at this captivating sight 
I froze like one caught in quicksand 
My mind went blank

It was as though someone tilted my head
Towards the heavens 
And there I saw the most beautiful of creatures 

Wings as white as the snow 
With fire unquenched on the tip of its wings 
His eyes were filled with love
And his feet were as the clouds 

Then he whispered 
His voice tender as a newborn's heartbeat 
I am sent from heavens glory 
To let you know 
God's love for you will never die 

And I wept bitterly 
Because of my sinful and unruly heart.
