Spring's Promise

Spring's Promise

Espy shimmering light
upon awakening mass
of snowdrops white
An early whisper to
nature's prime prize
Beseech busy bees rejoice
every vital instinctive wise
Caress each delicate bud anew
sip nectar and impregnate
every wanton flower too
A majestic buzzard swoops
and dips aflow
as a Red Baron display with
skills created to show,
soaring above the Woodland
and hills, over a reflective
sunshine of yellow daffodil spills
A dawn chorus erupts in
crescendo sound
a choir of supreme
orchestration surround
The warm air ignites
the sap to rise and fulfil
this season's deliverance,
a lifting libido surprise
Sleepy wild life's a stirring
a life cycle rethink with
rituals of mating occurring
Pigeons bill and coo
birds a nesting and pairing too
Spring a beautiful presence
and a ever promise
of continuing New life in essence
