Stand with You, Hong Kong

A Chinese song by the late Teresa Teng (鄧麗君, テレサ・テン), Taiwan. The English title has been changed by me from the literal “Hong Kong at Night (香港之夜)” to better express her love of the once great city, and also shows my firm support of the Hong Kong people in their struggle for freedom! Dazzling neon lights of red and green
‘n’ the soft echoing bell tower
greet a wonderful evening

Scenic typhoon shelter bays
‘n’ dotted fishing lights
are such exhilarating ‘n’ joyous

Couples in party, holding their hands
endlessly exchanging passionate words
are heart touching ‘n’ affectionate lovers
who compose a string of love poems
