Standing Alone

Standing Alone by poet, Ron
As I stand alone on the Western shore,
I look as far as I can see,
Yet! I can not see my old dreams anymore,
As I stand on the Western shore,
I see hundreds of ships, like turtles slowly swimming west.
I lay down my head to sleep,
I Wonder, “Why I have been shipwrecked?
In this land of madmen with no respect?
My mind reigns supreme, above the rest.
Why have my dreams of cherry blossoms and Kimchi abandoned me?
Why have I been such a fool?
Walking as slow as a turtle toward my dreams?
I wish I could remember nothing!
Could this be Feng Shui painting my walls white!
White is the color of new beginnings, as well as clear endings.
But!
My endings are not. So clear.
