Poem -

Standing Before the Spirit

Standing before the Spirit
feeling His breath on my face
I wonder what I did
to deserve to know this place

With all I've done wrong
I've hurt a thousand hearts
The days and nights I spent
pursuing foreign arts

After I had enough of it all
trying to be so strong
Realizing after the next fall
that I had it all wrong

Faith and hope unhindered
in that endless merciful love
Grace and mercy rained down
from the hands of God above

Washing my debt and my sins
away in the crimson flood
That took my stains of failure
and cleansed them with His blood
