Stars

I’ve been told stories of the stars
How the brightest ones are dying
And their just images of the actual light
People are a lot like the stars
All just scattered across a plain background
The saddest ones have the big smiles
The dim light in our eyes are the images of faint memories
Of being happy and loved
Now, we’re just dying stars
