Stars Alight *A poem on Constellations*

In the depths of the night,
The mighty Corvus soared under the inky sky,
Ursa Minor and Ursa Major watching,
Canis Major and Canis Minor waiting.

Pegasus flew alongside him,
Canes Venatici chasing Aries,
Aquila hunting Cancer,
Draco chases Cygnus in endless circles,
Delphinus plays an endless game of tag with Dorado.

Cetus and Capricornus chase each other through the inky depths of night,
Orion looses arrow after arrow at the elusive Phoenix,
Serpens races after the swift and agile Pisces,
Scorpius lunges after Lacerta,
Lupus chases Lepus through the shimmering sky,
Leo wanders at the edge of Eridanus,
Centaurus races Monoceros beneath the soaring Corvus,
Lynx wanders alongside Taurus.

The stars come to life,
The constellations ever so bright,
Amongst the inky darkness,
The stars are alight,
So energetic and bright,
The constellations have come to life,
Just watch and wait every night.
