Poem -

The start of a storm...

Stagnancy suffocating...stifling her soul

Pieces of her person lost...

Lost to self, lost within an identity imposed on her

Her heart cries silently, the pain of oblivion unbearable

She mumbles a prayer, from her heart, unknowingly, pining for change....

She smiles in ignorance daily, hoping yet not knowing what lies ahead,

Then a gust of wind...signalling change...

The prayer has been answered....the storm starts...

Lessons toughen...grinding her psyche, thrashing her heart...breaking the foundation, her very essence...nothing makes sense....harsh words, harsh thoughts...agony far worse than the stagnancy..." who am I...who am I..."

Who is she amidst this storm?

Nobody, somebody lost, without belief, nothing left from the past to refer too...

She stops and asks..."who do I want to be?"

Her heart whispers...

Create a new expression...move towards the original self...
