STARVED

STARVED

My hunger for you goes unsatisfied
I crave for you night and day
My love has become famished
Should I go or should I stay

The streets are calling me
I can hear their voices in my head
Their faces flashing across my mind
Women.. lots of women.. beautiful women
Reaching out to me, calling my name

Tell me it gets easier.. tell me it gets easier
I am loosing control, I'm at my breaking point
My heart longs for you but my patience grows weak
Where are you.. how long can I be comforted
By the fragrance you've left behind

I need you.. all of you
Not just your smile that's nailed to my mind
Or your whispers of love lingering in my ear

My body freezes without your embrace
My heart is that of a hungry wolf
Starved for your love
And grows weaker by the minute

Should I sell my soul
To the walkers of the night
Must I give that which I had promised only you
To the luring lust of the beautiful and the damned
Reconsider your thoughts
Or watch me die without your love.

Wilford Barker.

Epic write Wilford! Your words are deep seeded to the heart of love and passion. A true sense of desperation  and longing sensed throughout. Thoroughly enjoyed my friend
