Caught by camera
There you are
Frozen with time
Racing through life
Yet where is time,
Where did you go
Where are you now
In a photograph,
A still shot
A heartbeat
Pumping the blood through your veins
Yet there is non,
The hearse is waiting
There is no escaping
What are you creating,
In a steel trap
Caught by camera
There you are

ode to Jai, you are never boring or predictably vane in a write, thank you for that, first of all, I like how this write speaks to the reader, and seems to focus on at least two things, the certainty of death, and how 'moments' like a photograph, can last forever; good message.... you are a complex soul, my friend, and although the reader may be flat out wrong in the interpretation of this poem, there is so much meat on the bone to ponder, so many directions to go, and you have created a bridge between reader and poet and ulitmately that is the intent of most rational poets, so applause....this may not appeal to the casual reader either, in that it does require a bit of time and thought, but for me I like it, your story is worth some time and concentration....good, well intentioned, creative point of view conveyed nicely, cheers pal, Jai

Hello Jai,
I think I can understand how a photograph can represent all we have left of a beautiful love or soulmate that has transcended into the afterlife. I, myself, have been crying for sixteen months over one that was prematurely ripped from my soul. I pray that the hearse they left in, when it is my time, will take me to the same destination. A beautiful write, as I close this comment with tears from my eyes.
Peace and Love,
xox Larry
