Step Swiftly

"If u can't run crawl" sounds easy huh
But what if the floor beneath u cracks
And your forced to stare into the depths and despair that your mind has created
Step swiftly they say
But my feet always find a weak spot
Always falling through
Everything always breaks around me
Mind pays the toll for a broken soul
Heart shatters at sight of memories scattered
Dashed and divided arranged in a picture for the ill minded
Reflecting an image of a shell that once used to be that of the golden girl
Whom stepped off the bottom of the Hollywood sign just to be amongst the stars
One foot following the other, till they take you somewhere further
And your stuck, forced to stare into the eyes of the one who got you here
The one draining your mental state and  looking for a love that isn't his to take
So you stay standing, lining up along the cracks saying
My shell doesn't depict my soul
If it did I would shine
And if u could pick my mind
I could maybe call u mine
But I'm here looking into a bottomless pit
Of glass shards, blacks holes still feeling like s***.
But I keep remembering what they told me when I dreamt in the past
Hoping that the happy thoughts would last
Step swiftly.
