Still Standing

I have been diminished
depressed and devalued..

Reminded constantly
of my insignificance..

All these self esteem death missiles
have been launched in my direction..

And yet here I am
still standing defiantly..

Not giving a damn
what those bastards think of me...

I guess this is persistence

It's important to get back up and dust yourself down! And I think, when someone launches a visvious attack on you, that it says more about them than you. Love this piece for the positivity it exudes even in the face of difficulties.
