Stillness

Stillness in our mortal being,
listen to morning's chorus
as the lark lightly ascends
for life may take us to many places,
but nature takes us home.
Stillness in our wandering eye,
watch the humble sunrise
see the morning dewfall
for life may take us to many places,
but nature takes us home.
Stillness in our troubled mind,
spring growth and new potential
golden daffodils in their splendour
for life may take us to many places,
but nature takes us home.
Stillness in our hand of toil,
preparing land for harvest
feel it's earthly purpose
for life may take us to many places,
but nature takes us home.
Stillness in this fleeting life,
each season brings new meaning
an omnipresent teacher
for life may take us to many places,
but nature brings us home.
