Stitches

The world lays in tatters,
Torn by its own beauty,
Flooded,
Burnt,
Shredded,
Pulled apart,
Every year the same destructive cycle,
But with loss comes growth,
Bedazzling plants shoot up from the ashes,
The mighty giants soar through the waves,
From the cracks we lay stitches,
To rebuild and rehabilitate those who lost it all,
Lean on each other,
Stitch it all up,
Together we rebuild,
Silently we watch it fall,
Just like a house of cards,
Shatter like a house of glass,
Get back up and do it again.
Summer, Winter, Autumn, Spring,
Each season brings her own new challenges,
Rebuild, tear down,
What does it matter to mother nature,
She can tear herself apart,
And stitch it back up.

Bell!! So glad to see you back on Cosmos! And what a fantastic and beautifully written write indeed. A never-ending cycle of trauma and pain. It would be disrespectful that I have felt the same, we all have our own challenges and ways of facing them. Thing is, for me, I didn't break the cycle, my friends and family did. And I owe it to them greatly. What a write my friend. Here for you, if you ever need/want a chat. Your Fish fan, Max~
yeah i took a bit of a break from poetry, I lost my inspiration for a while. Always happy seeing your comments Max!
XD we all have our ups and downs, but I must say, you are one of my sources of inspiration Bell~
