Stoic

Stoic

Guardian in masonry stone

High on pedestal throne

Watchmen of eons gone by

I seeΒ signs of stones you cry

Petrified in stoic state

On wings of stained slate

How many stars shine?

On a forlorn shrine

Ravens take pause to bear

Unknown cyphers to declare

Watching with beady eyes

A Tomb a valued prize

A place to lay a weary head

Unaware of prayers said

A blessing to kith and kin

For phantoms lost in sin

Keeper of secrets tale

Lips sealed never to unveil

Whispers of the dead

Nevermore be said
