Darkness chants
bittersweet sorrows
echoes consume
a broken soul
dared to mutter...
silence finds
treacherous thoughts
snuffing
the very light
direly hoped for...
tonight
agony must find you
bowing your head once more
precious angel
to a hushed lullaby
