STOP

You have this all upside down,
This isn't the way to run a town.
With guns and knives on every street,
Embedding fear with every heartbeat.

What happened to the days gone bye?
Where we could question and ask why?
We were free to ignite our souls,
Without prejudice or the threat of jails.

We didn't have a care in the world,
Nor did we believe what we were told.
Asked the questions to ease our minds,
Never worried about the truth we would find.

Things are different and run by fear,
No-one willing to lend a sympatic ear.
Everyone caught up in their own pain,
forgetting that life is our only real gain.

Reality is defiantly not what it used to be,
There is no time for you and me.
Working our selves to skin and bone,
For a dream that is not our own.

Those who are brave rise to the challenge,
Their spirits free, they can not be managed,
nor confirm to a society so unjust,
In peace, love and happiness they do trust.

You'll notice these very beautiful beings,
The ones that are all seeing.
Dancing, smiling threw their towns.
Eyes always up never on the ground.

You can escape your invisible chains,
When you help for love not gains.
Stop spreading the hate and fear,
Start by  smiling and spread the cheer.
