Stop

So once I had a dream

one where I was a teen

a perfect teenager

but as you know

all dreams tend to be just what they are

they do not really tend to come true

even within a wish upon a shooting star

and mine didn't

so I attempted

and wanted to commit suicide

I felt alone

and out of place

as if no one was here for me to feel safe

I felt as if i had no body

I thought it would get better

but it never really did

so now days I just fake a smile

and live life day by day

and mile by mile

I told myself

" Danny, you are not worthless, You are worth more than you think"

but I still ended up shoving pills down my throat

with that lemonade drink

until my mom came downstairs

she saw her child laying there breathless

no breathing occurring

.......Restless...

she started screaming and yelling

crying so much

it was overwhelming

I woke from my slumber

and said

"Mom....Am I Dead Yet?"

as soon as I began talking

my mom took my hand and told me

"Danny, Why Would You Try Something Like This,

Do You Even Know How Much You Are Worth To Me?!,

To Everyone That You Know?!"

and at that moment...

it hit me

I finally figured out how much I truly am worth

with the help of my mom

and the heart of a thousand

I looked up at God

and smiled

a true smile for the first time

so I stopped cutting

and I stopped thinking negatively

I started feeling better

and now I am where I am now

with the life I never thought I would have ever

and I thank everything that I have gone through or Met

because without my past

I would not be where I am at this very moment in time.

I would not be here if I never stopped.
