Poem -

Stop the Violence

The street cries full of tears
For a little boy witnesses his worse fear
mommy getting shot over
Nothing at all just picked the wrong time to go to the mall
The corner is filled with red and blue lights to let the world know we lost yet another life so sad now days how the world is not safe how u can be looking a killer right in the face
Never knowing what happens next always constantly holding your breath
Age never varies it actually scary 5 and 6 years old and holding a gun never gets old
I wonder when that day will come when we all build a fence and join together to stop the violence
Stores being robbed for packs of cigarettes
store clerk shot dead and you have no regrets
speeding trying get away your car flips over and ends your day
rapes and murders all for no reason
I'm starting to wonder what the tv is teaching young people believing it cool to
be tough till that one day being tough is not enough
trying take back all the hurt we’ve caused the lives we’ve lost when in reality
they’ll never come back and the answer still remains in the fact its as simple as this
lets get together and stop the violence
