Stopped on my tracks 🌲

I whistled as I wandered within the withering woods

Not a green leaf was in sight with no canopy for a hood

But blue skies up above were beautiful so that was good

And as I whistled I felt at one with Mother nature and in a wonderful mood..

I heard a rustling coming from a hedgerow gap

My mission was not to get lost coz I didn’t have a map

My senses was invigorated amidst the tree resin sap

And I listened to such sweet singing from a twittering Black cap

Oh pretty little feathered friend you bring me so much pleasure

This is a marvellous memorable moment that I shall always treasure

As I was stopped on my tracks strolling along at my leisure

Your beauty is beyond belief and much too mahoosive for me to measure...
