Stories Long Gone

The lights are off
The night is black
The walls of stars
Are torn and cracked
They've lost their song
They've lost their glory
And no one is left to hear their story  The canvases’ empty stare
The tapestries’ broken glare
Shine off the walls
Dull stories
Dead stories
The souls will crawl
Along the halls
Their silent screams are never heard  One by one
In due succession
The ghosts of old will start  Possession
From the houses on the walls.
They march their way down  the halls.  Burning blood into stone
They hold their hearts made of bone  Time, time, the clock never stops
Even for the dead and their stories  The Stars won't rise
they've killed them all
They make the sky their new story
No clouds
No wind
No moon
But soon the demons will fly again
So scream your head onto the wind  While you still have breath to breathe  And life to give.
