Story of Heartache

You see me when I'm happy,
When all is well it seems,
But you don't see the heartache,
For that's kept inside me.
It's locked up deep inside me,
Where no one then can find,
And also so they won't talk,
Those people who remind.
I see them at reunions,
When they come into town,
For they are so-called family,
The ones who like to hound.
They'll talk as if they love me,
Then say things that aren't true,
And do it when they're smiling,
Their words that only bruise.
Forgiveness, it's an action,
The one I need to make,
But God will have to help me,
For this requires faith.

Thank you for your kind words! Family members can sometimes be your worst enemies, unfortunately. But,.as a Christian, we must rise above and not let bitterness rule our lives. Jesus can heal the worst of wounds. God bless! ❤
