Straight to heaven - Another for Grandad

It's close to that part of each year
When I think of you all the time
And my way of communicating with you
Is by putting my words to rhyme
I don't want to be on repeat
By saying over and over the same
So this year I write to you early
Because I have to perfect my aim
You see, instead of sitting wondering
If you see my yearly note
I'm sending this straight to heaven
To be sure you've saw what I've wrote
But first I have to practice
So I don't miss your open hand
I have to get it perfect
So my aim will go as planned
I want to tell you I miss you
But you've heard it all before
I just want you to know your on my mind
And with a heavy heart I pour
You've always been my hero
And you'll always be my number one
Until next year, dear Grandad
