Strength

Strength

Why did I ever leave you, you seem so
desirable right now, so warm, so soft
so tender. Standing tall, mighty aglow,
please let me borrow your skin and get lost
in its complexity… Gently letting
my fingers travel its landscape in chase
of the next place to lay my weary head.
How I oft long to kiss your gorgeous face.
Trying not to love you is like putting
fire out with alcohol, it only
feeds the passion burning brightly within
the pits of my heart growing strong slowly.
    Loneliness has evidently taken
Its toll on me, darling let your want wake
