Strength

Strength, how powerful in the word itself
What did strength mean to mankind 
Was it to be used in a manner so blind. 
Throughout history man tried to prove his strength, 
Only leading to war at length. 
Did the word really have to take on such a heavy meaning 
Or could it simply define the life of every little being. 
Was it always attributed to physical capability
Or the mere act of surviving the world as it is. 
Seek and you shall find 
Strength of every kind
The ability of an infant, 
To evoke emotions uttering no words. 
The strength of words,that can lead a man to repentance. 
The strength it takes, 
To simply accept one's mistakes. 
The long standing battle put up by women
To be empowered equal to men. 
The everyday struggle of ones own body
To keep themselves healthy and hearty. 
It didn't always call for bloodshed
Or be the result of an ego that was unfed. 
By and by 
As humans destroy, 
Nature has proved that revenge can be quiet 
Strength can be calm, 
Even after unforgivable harm.
