Us

In the stillness of the night
I heard the sound of Rain
I felt a storm stir up
My thoughts hazed yet my desire so lucent
Words that the lip could not utter
Eyes that had forever
met in quarrels
Bitter yet so sweet
No longer is the same as they meet
A Kinship so pure
Unbeknownst to earth
Did not dare to call it love
For no such word could weigh its worth
