Strength in Unity

on a recent long stay in hospital
I found myself a victim of industrial
abuse... and I was at the epi centre
and not by personal use..
the underlying problem - an air
inflated pressure redistribution mattress.. called. The Nimbus..
my fellow brother patient..
who had failed to sleep on this
cutting edge all singing and dancing
inflatable wedge had taken up
picket duties on my bed
(with its sharp straight hospital corners all tucked in neat)
and only topped with a bog
Standard foam jobbie..
so Mrs X (annonomous due to confidentiality) took action non the least..
Laid on it in protest and began to lobby..
the lady over the way came out
in sympathy.. and the domestic put
up a barrier to deter more traffic..
I was in a panic.
its Not the done thing to lay on
another person's space I felt violated
it's my bed not hers..she refused
to move until they remove her
living mattress and replace it with
a standard ordinary hospital issue..
All the rules and regulations put in place to protect your rights..
I didn't seem to have any that night
Then I thought again, as you do..
it's not actually my bed!
possession is 9/10 of the law
I will just go lay on someone else's instead
