Depending, as if by a thread
Stretching thinner each while
Closer to the pull apart -
​​​​sad and beautiful, this horror.
To see such pain slide down your face
Disgraced
you look away
Lost and hurt and fragile
And I sit
Lost and hurt and, strong enough?
Helpless.
As if I were depending upon you.
