Strictly Speaking

The latest English TV series 'Strictly Come Dancing'
is underway, was it really Tess Daly so they say?
In the first episodes, she sort of looked more refined,
including her speaking, although many wouldn't mind.

She has a northern accent, saying 'cooples' instead of
couples but this lady pronounced correctly, distinctly,
Claudia, her co-hostess, even called her Tess, so
it must have been 'her' unless there was an avatar.

Surely, the BBC would not have pulled such a stunt,
and for what reason, but unless there was a makeover
and elocution lessons, it looked like she had a stand-in,
these things happen I suppose, why - God only knows.

No one mentioned, not even on good, old, 'Points Of View.'
but I tell you, I saw it - perhaps we'll never know who.
