Strings?

Strings?

I attended an evangelical
college (1984-1988)
by the Tappan Zee Bridge
next to the NY Thruway
in the village of Nyack.

Often at the dinner
tables of the cafeteria
could be heard the debate
over Calvinism or Armininiansim,
free will, automatons of God
or some hybrid theology.

Geddy Lee of Rush
sings "I will choose a
path that's clear,
I will choose free will."

John Lennon croons,
"Life is what happens
while you are busy
making other plans."

At the lunching table
one afternoon was Leroy.
When asked if he was
Arminian or Calvinist,
Leroy pounded the
table and proclaimed,

I ain't no Calvinist
or Armininist,

I AM FROM BROOKLYN!

It was one of
the dumbest and
most intelligent
answers I ever
heard to that
question.

Now I have
to go
to work.
Do I have
to go to work,
or do I choose
to go to work?

My mortgage,
car loan,
electricity,
propane tank fillings,
weekly grocery bill,
weekly gasoline fillings,
property taxes and
federal taxes,
cable tv, phone and internet,
doctor and
dental bills
don't really
give me a choice,
do they?

And you?
