Stronger Within

Applying harsh phrases to herself in her mind,

Held in the dark with no light to guide her, shes lost and blind.

Silent tears stream down her cheek, 

All she wants is to find her inner voice and speak.

Reassuring words to herself to calm her fears,

Yet the words shes thinking to herself continue their sears.

"Not worth it. Don't deserve anyone good. Pushover, You cant!"

Their harsh fragmented phrases continue their chant.

She falls to her knees in the darkness with her hands over her ears,

The darkness closing in and the small light unseen drifts near.

She opens her eyes then to a blinding light and with tear stained cheeks she gasps,

Something within her breaks and shes free at last.

With hurt and broken spirits,

Shes able to put her thoughts into lyrics.

To find her release on paper,

Yet inside shes still overwhelmed and damaged beyond her nature.

Beware though for she has been through hell and back within her pain to get stronger,

Her words no longer contained within,

Haunting her fears no longer.
