Subtle (A Right to Judge the Morning Star)

Subtle envy: a faint rebuke: a pending hate: a serpent suit.
And bias love, a mirror laugh, the lure of death, a donkey’s
Ass. Reject the fey, but love the myth, my morbid ache, a
Muffled kiss. And spear to pain, the plight of pride, a
Humble heart, prepared to die. But depth the soul, a sparrow
Light, a sullen prayer, the flare of flight. My venom saint, a
Sacred scar, a right to judge, the Morning Star. And perfect
Paint, a perfect plague, the plea of death, the breath of praise.
And envy slight, a faint rebuke, a pending hate, a serpent suit.
My pious plight, the rod of God, the prayer of Christ, a soul to
Laud. And spirit flame, aflare the war, the flux of flight, a
Kingdom core. For depth the soul, the sweetest mix, the
Angel’s cry, and often hiss. My venom saint, a sacred scar, a
Right to judge, the Morning Star. Â
Explanation: I am not claiming to be the Morning Star. I am
Speaking to those that tend to frown upon the works of the
Morning Star. As for “my pious plight,” I am referring to people
That assume the position of God unfairly, with bias, desecrating
The sanctity of the calling, the ideal.

Hi Glenn, I think this is my favorite write of yours, WOW!!..........I read your stuff, but don't comment much because your writes are so good they're intimidating (in that I 'm afraid i'll misinterpret and say something wrong)........the rest of the time I don't understand a lot of your vocabulary........in this case however, I TOTALLY get it............any desecration of the "calling" is a stab to my heart.......I considered the priesthood often throughout my life........even went to some of the interviewing process here at "Moody", just love the study aspect.........one of my big dreams is to spend the day reading at the Vatican Library........anyway, just wanted you to know I'm always following your stuff from a distance my friend.........Great Write sir............smiles........tony xx
Wow Tony. I thank you for your candor. I think it is the case that many people read our work and hesitate when it comes to leaving feedback. I am becoming more conscious of word choice and incorporating a word list in some of my poems for those words that are not commonly used. As for misinterpretation, everyone's perspective carries value.
The (calling) is quite delicate. The belief is that each of us are responsible for our neighbor. Therefore, each believer is an ambassador of the Lord. This is not to discredit the calling of those that have been ordained. It is just to emphasis that the mission is inclusive of the whole flock. That said. I do not believe that failing to fallow through is the same as desecrating the calling. But this is something for each to decide.
It may be the case that you will return to the calling, more equipped than before. In the mean time, study, and study some more. To conclude, I again thank you for your candor, your support, and your feedback.
Remain focused, Glenn. Â
second paragraph, fourth sentence, (follow) was meant, not fallow.
