Success

If only I could remember

the thoughts of yesterday

than a masterpiece

would be written today.

Maybe it was in a dream

where the words came so sweet;

In my mind, I promised

to never let them leave.

I knew if they were written

every eye over the world

would certainly read

for the love in the letters they'd receive.

Alas, they're forgotten

a treasure still yet to be found

and I still search

for the beginning of what could be profound.
