“Summer Rain” (Inspired by Carl Thomas)

I sip a joy ribbon, and admire beauty. Her texture is California;
And we cry the apple trees. I’m so confused, a cultured imp;
And so alive, an angel prayer. She walks the clouds, and dies,
A tenet. We pause; and neglect the winds. Her husband, a
General: her heart, loyalty. We gaze the sun; and scrape the
Moon. She said hello: I paused, and smiled. This is summer, the
Rain of thoughts; and this is winter, the coldest charms. Oh the
Nature, an orange rose; and tinted waves: a color pink; and
Salmon bread, a gesture soft. We poke politics; and stare aloof.
My summer rain, a flowered field; and daffodils, a cryptic
Smile. So many mangos, an orchard fraught; and so many
Thoughts, a woman safe. I peel a lemon, and flavor gin; and so
Much to fathom, a star made peach; and so much to glaze, a
Summer rain.
