Summers sun

summer sun

up rise come early does his face
welcomed by a dawn caress

his early light shortening night
fading   stars that twinkle alight

soft at first over the hill
the black turns velvet blue

turning the nights matte
into a pastel hue

the grass sits jewelled
and the gems catch a shimmer
catching an angled light

they rapid encroach he comes with haste
reaching a heavenly height
