Poem -

Sun and Stars

Sun and stars,

wind and moon

summer lies fallow,

like a soft day in June.

Birds teach their young

how to fly through the air,

and all the pretty girls

have white roses, in their soft hair.

Moonlight, and starlight,

a south wind that blows,

a man must carry his dreams

wherever he goes.

Katydids, and crickets,

grasshoppers that hop,

life goes on forever,

until the day that it stops.

Sunlight and rainbows,

leaves that dance in the dawn,

unless you hold to this moment

it will be gone.

Love is like quicksilver,

or a river that flows,

and life is a mystery,

where ever it goes.

Sun and stars,

wind and moon

summer lies fallow,

like a soft day in June.
