Sunday Morning Blues

Sunday Morning Blues

It's Sunday Morning
And I got those waking up alone
Sunday Morning Blues
Just hanging with the phone

Coffee and pancakes for one
Just don't taste good
Even with Organic maple syrup
Not like you thought they would

Living, laughing, loving
Life needs to be shared
Writing, dreaming, rhyming
Hearts need to be bared

So I'm lying here all alone
Wrapped in yellow, daisies and exotic blue
Running through my head images of you
Tracing my fingers over my phone

Guess I'll pick up my guitar
And strum a few old chords
Drink up my ice cold coffee
And pick over the Sunday Morning Blues..
